Liz Kotalik

Account Director

Liz joined the public relations world after a decade of storytelling experience as a journalist in Colorado and Arizona. Four of those years were spent reporting and anchoring at 9news in Denver where Liz won an Emmy for her coverage on the effects of weak wifi connectivity in rural Colorado communities.

While in news, Liz learned first-hand how important and effective the relationship between PR professionals and media members can be. At Fox 10 in her hometown of Phoenix, her live shots at non-profits would result in a flood of donations and volunteer support. In Tucson, fun morning show segments at local mom and pop restaurants had an immediate impact on sales. In Denver, she worked closely with public health PR contacts and hospitals to keep people updated on COVID-19 developments and shutdowns.

The people in PR who Liz worked with most were those who knew her schedule, her job limitations and the stories she was looking to pitch to producers.  That’s exactly what she strives to bring to her new life in public relations.

Liz began her PR journey at Bonanno Concepts, where she helped the restaurant group navigate through COVID-19 restrictions. She also secured local, national and international media attention for the group’s groundbreaking mental health program.

Liz graduated from Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism and a minor in political science. When she’s not working, you’ll most likely find Liz visiting new restaurants in Colorado or watching an Avs game at Ball Arena with her husband Ryan. As much as she loves staying busy and traveling, she is at her happiest spending time at home with her husband and their two cats Marie and Gigi.
