TORO
Toro is offering a special menu for Valentine’s Day that includes pan-Latin dishes inspired by romance and passion. The three-course prix-fixe menu begins with a tuna bonito ($23) appetizer featuring leche de tigre, lychee, mango, cucumber, orange and cilantro. For the main course, couples can share a roasted chicken ($35) topped with an almond pink mole, brussels sprouts, blood orange and purslane salad. Then of course, no Valentine’s Day or Galentine’s Day celebration can be completed without dessert. Toro’s mi dulce amor ($15) is a crispy brioche topped with lychee foam, amaretto and strawberry sorbet.
Toro’s St. Valentine’s Day and Galentine’s Day menu is available the week of Valentine’s Day and is $70 per person or $140 a couple. The menu can also be viewed online here. Reservations are highly encouraged and can be made online.
TAMAYO
Surprise your special someone with Tamayo’s three-course meal, starting with pan-seared scallops or kale salad. For entrees, Chef Tony has whipped up filet mignon, grilled pork chops and wild mushroom enchiladas to choose from. End dinner on a sweet note by indulging in a choice between chocolate cake finished with vanilla anglaise sauce or tres leches with a strawberry compote.

MY NEIGHBOR FELIX
Reignite that spark at My Neighbor Felix with the restaurant’s tablas fuertas, which are fiery dishes best enjoyed by parties of two or more. Guests pick their choice of protein, which is served on a cast iron skillet with Mexican fried rice, smoky black beans, an assortment of fresh salsas, a queso trio, creamy cilantro crema and a variety of fresh vegetables.
Guests can wash it all down with one of the many cocktails offered at the restaurant. A signature of My Neighbor Felix’s drink menu is its Megarita, a 56-ounce, shareable margarita in a communal glass. What’s not to love?
RESTAURANT OLIVIA
For pasta enthusiasts and foodies alike, Restaurant Olivia covers all the bases. This Washington Park institution is offering Valentine’s specials twice in February, ensuring even the most forgetful minds can participate.
On Friday, February 3, the restaurant will host a beginner course of its highly coveted pasta classes with a three-course dinner to follow. This class will focus on the basics- pasta dough making, rolling out classic shapes, etc.
On February 10, the restaurant’s wine director and Colorado’s only Italian wine expert, Scott Thomas, will host an apericena and wine class event which focuses on the Piedmont region’s hidden gems. The class begins at 4:30 p.m. and includes a light dinner with Piedmontese pastas, paired with typical wines of the region.
On February 17, the restaurant will host another installment of its pasta classes, this time catering to more advanced techniques. The class will be offered to those who have either taken a class before or who have mastered the basics and will teach all participants to make filled pasta pillows of perfection. A three-course dinner is scheduled to follow this class, as well.
