Prim’s Ultimate Guide to Holiday Dining in Denver

As the holiday season nears, Denver’s dining scene is brimming with special menus, indulgent seasonal bites, and festive culinary experiences. Whether you’re craving a gourmet holiday feast or playful festive eats, here’s a curated roundup of where to dine (or order from) this holiday season.

Toro by Chef Richard Sandoval
Chef Richard Sandoval’s Toro is pulling out all the stops this holiday season. Open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, Toro will offer an abbreviated dinner menu alongside a three-course prix fixe option for both lunch and dinner service.

Want to enjoy Toro’s holiday magic at home? The prix fixe meal is also available for takeout with reheating instructions. Place your pre-orders by December 24 and pick up between December 22-25. Reservations and takeout orders can be made through Toro’s website.

Big Apple Bodega
Skip the holiday cleanup and savor Big Apple Bodega’s limited-time holiday sandwich, “The Rockefeller.” This festive take on the classic chopped cheese features grilled turkey, cornbread stuffing, melted Gouda, cranberry mayo, lettuce, and tomato, all served on a hero roll. Available at their new brick-and-mortar, this hearty sandwich is the perfect taste of holiday cheer.

Kachina Cantina
For a stress-free Christmas Eve, Kachina Cantina is serving up a prime rib special, complete with truffle parmesan mashed potatoes, bacon Brussels sprouts, and maple-glazed carrots, priced at $55.

Dine-in or take out from 2-8 p.m. on December 24. The festivities continue on Christmas Day with brunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and a dinner service from 2-7 p.m., featuring menu favorites like chicken pozole blanco, vegetarian pozole rojo, and beef birria. Make your reservation from their website.

For extra holiday fun, don’t miss Kachina’s Who-Ligan Brunch, inspired by Whoville. Available on weekends from November 30 to December 22, the brunch features Churro-Ho-Ho Waffles and festive Mexican hot chocolate. Kids can snap a photo with “The Mean One” at The Maven Lobby and enjoy Dairy Block’s Whoville holiday entertainment.

Restaurant Olivia
Take the pressure off holiday hosting with take-and-bake offerings from Michelin-recommended Restaurant Olivia. Choose from lasagna varieties like traditional, spinach and artichoke, or white turkey and gravy, available in two sizes. Round out your meal with wine, old-fashioned cocktails, focaccia bread, or desserts like take-and-bake cookies and pecorino cheesecake. Orders go live on Olivia’s website after Thanksgiving.

The Inverness Denver: Blazing Bright Pop-Up
Fireside Bar & Grill at The Inverness Denver transforms into Blazing Bright, a holiday pop-up inspired by iconic movies. Enjoy dishes like the Roast Beast & Who Hash (from The Grinch) or Peking Duck Potstickers (inspired by A Christmas Story), plus sweets like the Sugar Plum Cake and Eggnog Crème Brulé. Wash it down with festive drinks like Bah Humbug Hot Cocoa or Clarence’s Mulled Wine. The pop-up runs December 6 through January 4, Tuesday to Saturday, from 4-10 p.m.
